Matthew Stafford of the Rams smashes the record with $28 million in real estate in Los Angeles.

Once again, the record for sales price has been shattered in Hidden Hills, a renowned affluent community in Southern California. A brand-new spec home perched atop a high ridge has quietly sold for $28.2 million, easily surpassing a $26 million Hidden Hills transaction from earlier this year and becoming the most expensive area home ever sold.

Records show that the buyers are Matthew and Kelly Stafford, the $160 million man who guided the Los Angeles Rams to victory in Super Bowl LVI, according to the Robb Report. It turns out that the Staffords have owned a 1980s red-brick home and vineyard next door to their new mansion on the hill since March 2022, when they paid $10.5 million for it.

They currently oversee a 3-acre compound with two opulent homes and two swimming pools, all of which are estimated to be worth nearly $40 million after purchasing the more contemporary estate next door.
