Kristaps Porzingis Talks About His Reason for Selecting the Celtics and His First Thoughts of Boston: “Perfect Scenario”

And not that he deserves all the credit for this, but according to NBA.com, Boston’s starting five of Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Porzingis has by far the highest plus-minus rating of any five-player lineup that has played together for at least ten games (plus-9.7).
The Celtics also own the second-best record in the NBA with a 15-5 record. It appears as though Porzingis will be back in the starting lineup for Friday’s game against the New York Knicks after missing four games due to a left calf strain.

The former All-Star joined J.J. Redick, with whom he had a brief playing career on the Dallas Mavericks, on Redick’s program, The Old Man & the Three. The two talked about a variety of subjects, including the seven-foot-three center’s initial impressions of the Celtics.
